Beijing Hosts 2025 International Chemical Engineering Innovation Exhibition, Showcasing Global Green Transformation and Digital Breakthroughs

The 2025 International Chemical Engineering Innovation Exhibition concluded successfully on July 17 at the National Convention Center in Beijing, drawing over 20,000 visitors from around the world. Organized by the Chinese Society of Chemical Engineering and co-hosted with the 12th World Congress of Chemical Engineering, the event centered on the theme "Paradigm Shifts in Chemical Engineering to Address Global Challenges", highlighting China’s leadership in sustainable industrial practices and technological innovation.

The exhibition featured three core zones: "Legacy," tracing the historical milestones of chemical engineering; "Transformation," showcasing AI-driven process optimization and carbon capture technologies through interactive displays; and "Symbiosis," presenting case studies of eco-industrial parks. State-owned giants like Sinopec and CNPC unveiled their latest breakthroughs in green hydrogen production and biodegradable materials, while Huawei and tech innovators demonstrated AI-powered predictive maintenance systems and digital twins for smart factories .

International participation was robust, with delegations from Germany’s DECHEMA and Japan’s Mitsubishi Chemical engaging in technical exchanges on circular economy models. The event also hosted high-level forums on policy harmonization for global carbon neutrality, attended by industry leaders such as CNOOC’s Chairman Dai Houliang.
